Westchester Girl Hopes To Stop Bullying With New Musical
When it comes to bullying, Ariel Pennington-Reyes is teaching people the importance of being an upstander rather than a bystander.
Pennington-Reyes, a Yonkers resident, is one of the stars of "It's Easy," which debuts Saturday, Sept. 16 for a 10-show run through Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Irvington Town Hall Theater.
The musical, geared toward kids in grades 4-8, takes place in one day in the life of 6th-grade classmates, where bullies make life miserable and bystanders stay quiet.

MOHEGAN LAKE, N.Y. -- Raina Ghosh, a Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School student was one of nine awardees from across the country who took part in the nationwide ThinkBIG Challenge, a nonprofit organization established two years ago by then 13-year old Jothi Ramaswamy.
