Driver, 44, Airlifted When Vehicle Overturns On Route 78 In Hunterdon County: Njsp A 44-year-old Cranford man was airlifted to a nearby hospital after his vehicle overturned on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on the evening of Sunday, April 28, authorities said. At 7:07 p.m., a GMC SUV was traveling eastbound on Route 78 in Union Township when the driver lost control, ran off the roadway and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The man sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

40-Year-Old East Orange Man Fatally Shot In Newark: Prosecutor A 40-year-old East Orange man was shot and killed in Newark on Sunday, April 28, authorities said. At 8:43 p.m., Newark police responded to the 300 block of Osborne Terrace and found, Deshaun Winston unresponsive at the location, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Frage said.
