The family of a 48-year-old welder killed in an explosion that blew him through the roof of a business in Gloucester County has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against his former employer. Bruce A. Cheeseman, of Cedarville, was working at Timberlane Welding & Services Inc. in Mullica Hill when the fatal accident occurred on June 15, 2022. The company performs truck and trailer repairs. Missing William Koerner South Brunswick
UPDATE: William Koerner has been successfully located, South Brunswick police said on Friday afternoon, May 3. ORIGINAL STORY: South Brunswick Police Department are investigating a missing person. William Koerner was last seen walking toward McDonald's on Route 1 on Wednesday, May 1, at 9:30 p.m. Police did not release his age. He was last seen wearing a white crewneck sweatshirt, a black jacket, and grey work pants, police said. Double-Shooting, Crash Leave Pair Dead In Trenton Church Parking Lot: Prosecutor
Two men from Mercer County were killed in a pair of shootings and a car crash in a Trenton church parking lot on Wednesday night, May 1, authorities said. Jerome Francis, 43, of Hamilton, and Chevaughn Fagan, 28, of Trenton, died after the double shooting, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J Onofri. Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle, Killed In Toms River: Prosecutors
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed in Toms River, authorities said. In a news release, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said the pedestrian was hit near the intersection of Route 166 and Hilltop Road. The crash happened at around 8:25 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. Toms River police said the crash closed Route 166 between Lomell Lane and Mapletree Road. Child Abuser Sought In Somerset County: Prosecutor
The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Fugitive Task Force Unit is seeking the public's help in finding a 43-year-old man wanted for abusing a child. Joseph Zuziela, Jr. is 5'9", 175 lbs, with black hair and hazel eyes, authorities said. He has tattoos on his left and right arm, authorities said. A man was airlifted to the hospital after crashing his pickup in Ocean County, authorities said. Berkeley Township police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Dover Road near the Lacey Township border at around 3:51 p.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 30, the department said in a news release. : 2.6 Magnitude Aftershock Rattles New Jersey
Yet another aftershock rattled New Jersey. This one 2.6 in magnitude just after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, the USGS website shows. This one had an epicenter just east of the Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone (Somerset County). A 2.9 magnitude aftershock was reported last Saturday, April, 27 in the same area. People as far as Massachusetts and Connecticut reported feeling the earthquake, but it appeared to have been clearest felt in the Garden State, with Boonton, Caldwell, and Carteret residents reporting a II or III on the MMI scale.

Superior Signal Fire Old Bridge Explosion
A fiery explosion left one woman dead and four others hurt at a manufacturing company in Old Bridge on Wednesday, May 1, authorities said. Eileen Marco, 73, of South River, was killed at the scene of the explosion at Superior Signal Company, LLC in Old Bridge at approximately 11:20 a.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
