Man Airlifted With Head Trauma After Pickup Crashes In South Jersey: Police
A man was airlifted to the hospital after crashing his pickup in Ocean County, authorities said. Berkeley Township police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Dover Road near the Lacey Township border at around 3:51 p.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 30, the department said in a news release. Officers found a gray Ford F-150 partially in the road with extensive damage. A 49-year-old man drove the pickup and was lying in the road after he was ejected from the passenger side. Two drivers were hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash in South Jersey, authorities said. On Wednesday, May 1 at approximately 9 p.m., Gloucester Township police responded to Sicklerville Road near Kings Road for a crash involving two vehicles. Police found two vehicles in the roadway with severe damage. The drivers were taken to local hospitals with possible serious injuries, police said. : 2.6 Magnitude Aftershock Rattles New Jersey
Yet another aftershock rattled New Jersey. This one 2.6 in magnitude just after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, the USGS website shows. This one had an epicenter just east of the Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone (Somerset County). A 2.9 magnitude aftershock was reported last Saturday, April, 27 in the same area. People as far as Massachusetts and Connecticut reported feeling the earthquake, but it appeared to have been clearest felt in the Garden State, with Boonton, Caldwell, and Carteret residents reporting a II or III on the MMI scale.

A fiery explosion left one woman dead and four others hurt at a manufacturing company in Old Bridge on Wednesday, May 1, authorities said. Eileen Marco, 73, of South River, was killed at the scene of the explosion at Superior Signal Company, LLC in Old Bridge at approximately 11:20 a.m., Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. A fire at the Voorhees Town Center on Friday, April 19, has prompted the South Jersey Homeschool Association to look for a new home, according to a campaign devoted to the cause. A crash closed all lanes of Route 49 in Bridgeton on Wednesday morning, May 1, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 10:15 a.m. near Route 638 (North Burlington Road), according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
