PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - A 26-year-old Port Chester man was arrested on a second-degree robbery charge Friday, police said Tuesday.
A 40-year-old man flagged down an officer on Poningo Street in Port Chester around 4:27 a.m. Friday. One side of the mans face was swollen and bruised, police said. He reportedly told police two black males had stolen his wallet and money before going toward 107 Poningo St,
Officers investigated and found one man at the address. The 40-year-old reportedly told police the man was the one who robbed him. Darel Franklin, 26, of 45 Travis Ave. was arrested on the felony charge and is due back Thursday in Port Chester Village Court.
While the 40-year-old man was being interviewed by police, his face swelled more, according to Lt. Jim Ladeairous, a spokesman for the department. The man was taken by EMS to Greenwich Hospital.

A 47-year-old woman from Mount Vernon was arrested at the Kohls on Boston Post Road in Port Chester around 3:30 p.m. Saturday on a petit larceny misdemeanor charge. Security said they saw the woman take several jewelry items and put them in her front pant pocket on camera, police said. She then allegedly paid for some items, but not the concealed jewelry, police said. Teresa Noe, 144 W. Lincoln Ave., was arrested and released on $450 bail. She is due Sept. 10 in Port Chester Village Court.
