Man Arrested Twice In One Day In Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – A 41-year-old man was arrested twice in two hours Sunday after first being accused of stealing faucets from Home Depot and then of driving his car without a license, according to the Port Chester Police Department.

Police received a report from Home Depot, 150 Midland Ave., that a man had taken two faucets worth nearly $300 and attempted to bypass a cashier by walking out of the store’s garden center. Security spotted him and police arrested him on a petit larceny charge.

Felex Maldonado, who gave his address as 7080 Bonito Drive, Miami Beach, Fla., was then taken to the Port Chester Police Station, where he complained of chest pains. Paramedics were called and Maldonado was released in $400 bail, according to Lt. James Ladeairous, spokesman for the department.

Maldonado refused to be taken to the hospital and returned to the Home Depot parking lot. The original officer who arrested him went back to the area and arrested him while he was driving away in a 2012 Chevy, and charged him with aggravated driving without a license, a misdemeanor.
