Breaking News: Two Sentenced For Explosion That Killed FD Battalion Chief From Westchester

Victor Metrano, 91, Of Port Chester, Retired Shipping Clerk, Empire Brush

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Victor Metrano of Port Chester died Sept. 7. He was 91.

Metrano was born June 4, 1922, in Italy, to Giovanni and Maria Costanzo Metrano. He was a retired shipping clerk for Empire Brush Company. He also worked for SUNY Purchase and Westchester Country Club. He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Metrano is survived by his wife, Angelina (Barrese) Metrano; children, John Metrano (Mary) of Dobbs Ferry, Michael Metrano (Patricia) of Fairfield, Conn., and Denise Salvatore (Mauro) of Port Chester; brother, Marcello Metrano of Italy; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 South Regent St., Port Chester. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook.
