PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Jack T. Stark, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Monday, March 7, at Greenwich Hospital. He was 78.
He was born Aug. 24, 1937, in Greenwich, to Amy and Andrew T. Stark. He was educated in Port Chester and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1955.
After high school, he attended Northrop Aeronautical Institute in Inglewood, Calif. On Nov. 7, 1959, he married Sally Ann Santora at Holy Rosary Church in Port Chester. He worked as a production engineer on government defense contracts for various companies before his retirement in 2012.
He loved to vacation in Montauk and enjoyed gardening and hockey. He will always be remembered for the beautiful plantings that he started on his own and displayed on his front porch.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Ann, of Port Chester; his son, Scott; daughter-in-law, Kathy; four grandchildren, Kylie, Emma, Bailey and Liam of Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Andrea; and brother-in-law, Sonny Naclerio.
Calling hours will be held Friday, March 11, from 2-4 p.m. at Joseph Tutera Funeral Home Inc. The funeral is private.
In lieu of flowers, friends may send donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
