Frances L. Yarter, 90, Lifelong Port Chester Resident

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. — Lifelong Port Chester resident Frances L. Yarter died on Friday, May 6. She was 90. 

She was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Port Chester to Wilbur and Gertrude Horton Clark. 

Yarter graduated from Port Chester High School in 1943 and was a clerical worker for Westchester Medical Billing.

She is survived by her son, James Yarter and his wife Debbie of Port Chester, NY., daughter Paula Mastroianni and her husband Thomas, grandchildren, Benjamin Yarter, Stephen Grisanti and Hope Grisanti, a great-granddaughter  and sisters Harriet Ferris and Barbara Ferris, and sister-in-law Elinor Tripp. 

Yarter was predeceased by her husband, Leland; sisters Florence Ferris and Pauline Rosenquest; and brother Wilbur Clark. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. 

Funeral services and interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, 30 East Padonia Road, Suite 201 Timonium, MD 21093.
