Carl D. Iacobuzio, 91, Former Port Chester Resident, WWII Veteran

MONTCLAIR, N.J. - Carl D. Iacobuzio, formerly of Port Chester, N.Y., died Saturday, Dec. 6. He was 91.

Iacobuzio was born in Pietragalla, Italy, coming to the United States when he was seven and was raised in Claremont, N.H. He lived in and raised his children in Rye Brook, N.Y., and also lived in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Warren, Conn., Sharon, Conn., Naples Fla., and most recently Montclair. He worked in sales for F.R. Tripler & Co. in New York City and was a World War II veteran. He served as a staff sergeant in France, Germany and Czechoslovakia and fought in The Battle of the Bulge.

Iacobuzio is survived by his wife, Grace (nee Nitti); children, Anne Reichel, Theodore and Janet Iacobuzio; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Carmela DeBonis.

Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at St. Cassian Church in Upper Montclair. A committal service will follow at 12.30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
