Barbara Belfatto, 73, Former Longtime Resident Of Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Former longtime Port Chester resident Barbara Belfatto, 73, died Sunday, Oct. 11, at her residence in Pawleys Island, S.C.

Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Loretta Wolynski and the late Walter Wolynski. She lived in Port Chester for about 30 years. Belfatto was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. She was former president of the Women’s Club Parish Council and the Low County Herb Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Belfatto, and a son, Christopher Belfatto.

She is survived by her mother of Great Neck, N.Y.; her son, John Belfatto (Mary Beth), and a grandson, all of Redding, Connecticut.

The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 23, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 6 p.m. at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Litchfield/Pawleys Chapel, 202 Hinnant Lane, Pawleys Island, S.C. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church, 1633 County Road S-22-46, Pawleys Island, S.C., with the Rev. Pat Stenson officiating.
