  • Port Chester Board of Education candidates Carolee Brakewood and James Carriere met Tuesday in a debate hosted by the League of Women Voters. Among the issues they discussed were class sizes and budget cuts.
  • Rye Brook veteran Jim Smith received a Purple Heart award for his service in the Vietnam War 43 years ago. The award was presented to Smith by Sen. Charles Schumer.
  • Port Chester has approved a plan to put a dog park in Abendroth Park. The group that came up with the idea will begin fundraising so that the project can move ahead.
