PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Port Chester Police arrested a local man after he allegedly drove drunk into the fence near the Kohl's shopping center, according to Patch.com.

Darwin Alvarez, 20, allegedly crashed into the fence around 1:20 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. He told police the brakes on his vehicle failed, Patch.com reported.

After further investigation, Alvarez was charged with driving under the influence, according to Patch.com.
