PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Port Chester Nursing and Rehabiliation Centre announced on Wednesday its plans to affiliate with the Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation through the addition of an onsite rehab service called Kessler.Core
"Based on the reputation of Kessler.Core as a leader in the industry, we are confident that they will be an important asset to our facility as we partner together to deliver the highest level of care," said Stephen Carey, the Rehabilitation Centre's administrator.
According to a release, Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation is the first rehabilitation facility in Westchester to add the Kessler.Core program. Kessler.Core provides services to patients with brain, spinal, and orthapedic injuries or those experiencing difficulties from stroke, amputations, or balance disorders.
"Kessler.Core shares our vision for excellence in rehabilitative services, positive outcomes, expertise and safety of our patients," Carey said. "We are excited about offering this exceptional new level of service."
The Centre says the addition of Kessler.Core will expand its ability to provide an integrative and research based approach to rehabilitation. The introduction of Kessler.Core marks the second major addition made under Carey who was hired in January . Earlier this year, it added a neurorehabilitation program to treat patients with Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, dementia or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or who have had strokes or spinal cord injuries.
