Rye Brook Hosts First Annual Carnival This Weekend

RYE BROOK, N.Y. -- Rye Brook is gearing up for its first annual carnival, which will kick off this Friday and last three days.

Admission and parking will be free, with separate charges for rides and food. The carnival will feature 15 different rides, including a 30-foot ferris wheel, bumper cars, a merry-go-round, a giant slide, the Dizzy Dragon, Circus Town, Truckin' USA, Space Sled, Surfs Up, the Swinger and the Hampton.

There will also be crafts and six game trailers as well as a variety of carnival food. All the hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, popcorn, sausages and other items will be prepared on site. Tarrytown's Main Street Sweets will provide ice cream. 

The event will be held at 900 King St. behind Rye Brook Village Hall. Visitors can access the carnival through Arbor Drive. Hours for the carnival are 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. 

The carnival is hosted by the Rye Brook Parks and Recreation Department and is coinciding with the Opening Day of Little League. Volunteers are still wanted for cooking or serving food. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 914-939-3235.
