PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Neri's Bakery in Port Chester was honored by the Westchester Food Bank at its 7th annual Hunger Heroes Award Breakfast with a 2012 Hunger Heroes Donor Award.
Founded more than 100 years ago by Italian immigrant Paul Neri, Neri's Bakery has cemented itself as a Port Chester beacon. It produces a million bagels and 700,000 breads and rolls every day. Its products are sold under established name brands onstore shelves nationwide and in the Caribbean.
Westchester Food Bank recognized Neri's Bakery for its donations of breads and cakes to various community organizations, including the Port Chester Carver Center, Our Lady of the Rosary Church, the Don Bosco Center and the Knights of Columbus, among others.
