Store representative Aimee Nichols said Berger’s has now officially raised $10,000 for the Cookies for Kids’ Cancer program.

The program provides annual research grants to five of the nation's leading pediatric cancer centers to advance the development of less toxic, more effective treatments for children battling cancer.

OXO, a company that make housewares that Berger’s sells, has agreed to match every dollar it raises.

Berger’s is still seeking donations, which are tax deductible, Nichols said.

Checks can be made out to COOKIES FOR KIDS' CANCER and dropped at either of Berger’s locations: 443 Commerce St. Hawthorne; or 43 North Main St. Port Chester.

Cookies for Kids' Cancer is based in Califon, N.J. For more information about the organization, click here, or call 1 - (888) 978-5313.
