Port Chester Could See Afternoon Thunderstorms As Humid Air Arrives

Rising humidity may give way Wednesday afternoon to scattered thunderstorms that could affect the region through the remainder of the workweek, according to the National Weather Service.

The first opportunity for storms is expected after 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Weather Service.

From there, the likelihood that showers and thunderstorms strike continues to grow, reaching between 30-40 percent Wednesday night through Thursday, according to the Weather Service.

The chance for significant rain diminishes greatly by Friday morning, leaving behind what forecasters expect will be mostly sunny skies and high temperatures near 91 by noon, according to the Weather Service.

Though Saturday is expected bring sunny skies and high temperatures in the upper 80s, the possibility of rain returns Sunday, according to the weather service.
