The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for freezing precipitation into Wednesday morning for much of the Hudson Valley.

The advisory covers Northern Westchester, Putnam, Rockland and Orange.

A weak disturbance southeast of the region may result in a few light freezing rain showers or patches of freezing drizzle late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.

Travelers are advised to monitor the latest forecast before heading out.

The chance for the freezing precipitation is for mainly after 2 a.m. Wednesday.

There is a chance of patchy freezing drizzle with a slight chance of freezing rain before 9 a.m.
