A crash that initially blocked the right lane caused heavy delays on a stretch of eastbound I-287 just as the morning commute was ending on Tuesday.
The accident, reported shortly before 9 a.m., was at Exit 5 (Routes 119/100) with traffic back up to I-87.
There was stopped traffic at the scene with delays of up to 30 minutes reported.
