From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning on Monday, Oct. 23, crews from Con Edison and the New York State Department of Transportation will be undertaking the final roadway restoration work at the busy intersection, with work scheduled to conclude on Friday.

Village officials made note that construction activity will take a one-hour break each day between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to minimize the traffic impact for the school district.

Officials said that heavy delays are anticipated and motorists should avoid the intersection, when possible, while work is underway. There will be large electronic messaging board being deployed to assist motorists in identifying alternate routes and spotting detours, including Brookby Road and the Heathcote Bypass.

Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department and flaggers will also be on hand to assist motorists and maintain a steady traffic flow.

With Con Edison’s work at Heathcote FIve Corners coming to a conclusion, traffic impacts associated with the construction on Weaver Street will occur “on an intermittent basis” over the coming weeks, officials said.
