After more than 30 years on the run, a man accused of killing his wife in Fairfax County has been captured, authorities announced.
Jose Lazaro Cruz has been wanted since spring of 1991, when he stabbed his wife, Ana Jurado, 24, on the 3100 block of Cofer Road in West Falls Church, county police said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and Cruz, her estranged husband, was charged on a warrant for felony murder in May 1991.

Federal authorities announced on Wednesday, Nov. 2, that gang members Elmer Zelaya Martinez, 31, Ronald Herrera Contreras, 24, Henry Zelaya Martinez, 28, Pablo Velasco Barrera, 24, and Duglas Ramirez Ferrera, 26, all from El Salvador, have received multiple life sentences.
