Stepinac 5K Run Raises $14,000

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Stepinac High School once again lent a helping hand to the American Cancer Society and its sports program.

The annual 5K Family Fun Run raised $14,000, with $1,500 going to the American Cancer Society. The race was organized by the Stepinac Lady Crusaders.

One-mile race winners were Stepinac student Timmy Cleary of White Plains who captured first place in the male category at 4:41 while Maeve Briton of White Plains took the top female spot at 5:44.

The 5K first place runners were Stepinac student Drew DePietro of Pleasantville at 17:30 and Margaret Byrne of Yonkers at 25:11. A total of 121 registered runners.from the school and surrounding community participated.
