Port Chester Runs To Football Win

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Head coach Greg Domestico and his staff received what they wanted from their Port Chester varsity football team Saturday in a 26-14 win over Peekskill.

The Rams rebounded from their loss to Brewster in week three, improving to 3-1, but, more importantly, they excelled in all areas offensively.

“This is the first time we played a complete game on offense,” Domestico said. “We blocked well and our backs ran hard. We didn’t have much of a need to throw because our ground game was so effective.”

Domestico highlighted his offensive line of John Cuyatti, Nolkens Francois, Ryan Cruz, Leo Evangelista and Kevin Woolery and tight end Savion Smith.

“The offensive line played outstanding football,” Domestico said. “They blocked very well and allowed our backs to get to the second level before making contact.”

Quarterback Kyle Drummond had two rushing touchdowns, Trevor Chambless added a scoring run, as did Jason Ippolito.

Port Chester will play at Lincoln Saturday before its annual clash with Mamaroneck Saturday, Oct. 12.
