Public hearings have ended but the White Plains Common Council has yet to schedule a vote on the fate of the proposal, which has been debated for years.
The project is believed to the most controversial land use project confronting the City of White Plains in the last 25 years.
The demonstration will begin at 10:30 a.m. on North Street near the entrance of White Plains High School. The location is opposite the proposed entrance to the FASNY project.
In a letter to the Common Council, the White Plains Board of Education described FASNY's proposed entrance as profoundly unsafe for its students and staff, noting that Route 127 is already a busy and dangerous thoroughfare.
It's unclear when the Common Council will decide the fate of FASNY's proposal to build a $60 million campus, merging its schools now operating in Larchmont, Mamaroneck and Scarsdale. FASNY can't proceed without a special permit and Common Council approval of its site plan.
