The organization recognized Swift for his strong support of music education in the Port Chester Schools on June 15 at the association’s annual year-end dinner at Sam’s of Gedney Way Oak Room, 50 Gedney Way, White Plains, N.Y.
Members of the Port Chester Music Department nominated Swift via letters to the WCSMA Executive Board, including one letter from Port Chester Music Department Chairman Ken Kraut.
“We’re very blessed to have a principal who actively supports us in every way, who recognizes and celebrates the importance of our program, and who treats every individual, student or teacher, as part of an extended family,” said Kraut in a statement.
