State Education Chief Will Be At Port Chester Common Core Forum

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- New York State Commissioner of Education John B. King Jr. will host a forum on Common Core standards and related matters at Port Chester Middle School on Oct. 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Regent Harry Phillips and District 91 Assemblyman Steve Otis will be joining King at the event. 

Before the commissioner speaks, individuals will have the opportunity to make statements during a 90 minute period.

Those who wish to address the commissioner must sign up in advance by calling District Clerk Yvette Segal,  between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at 914-934-7922 or in the lobby outside of the middle school from 3:30-4:00 p.m. on the night of the event. 

Speakers will have two minutes at the microphone.

Port Chester Middle School is at 113 Bowman Ave. in Rye Brook.
