Glassberg called Monahan "a seasoned, professional superintendent."

"The District is fortunate to have such an experienced educator at this time of transition. We are confident Dr. Monahan will very capably run the district while the board proceeds with a search process that will be thoughtfully planned, provide opportunities for input from all school community stakeholders, search consultants," she said in a statement. "We will provide more detail as we proceed."
