PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Port Chester High School's production of "Hairspray" in April has received four nominations for the 2013 Metropolitan High School Theater Awards.
Rosie Veltri was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Sarah Dapaah was nominated for Outstanding Vocal Performance for her rendition of "I Know Where I've Been." Michael Bansey and Alfred DiLeo were nominated for Outstanding Duet for their performance of "Timeless to Me." Josh Tenzer and Ruth Goldberg were nominated for Best Lobby Display.
The Metropolitan High School Theater Awards are presented by the Helen Hayes Youth Theatre. The awards ceremony will be held June 3 at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill. Veltri will perform at the awards ceremony.
