Port Chester to Celebrate 67th Annual Band Night

The talented youth of Port Chester will be performing Tuesday, June 7th at the 67th Annual Band Night.

The evening of music, food, and fireworks begins at 5:30 p.m. at the flag plaza near Port Chester High School with a barbeque fundraiser for the high school band. The show will start at 7 p.m. with a performance of the national anthem by the Pride of Port Chester, the high school band. That will be followed by the elementary school twirlers, pom-poms and the dance and spirit groups. The All-Elementary School Band, comprised of fourth and fifth grade musicians, will play oldies but goodies "I Want to Hold Your Hand," by the Beatles and "Any Way You Want It," by Journey.

The middle school bands are also scheduled to play. The sixth grade band will perform "Isn't Love Grand" and the seventh and eighth grade bands will play "Tribute to Neil Diamond." Concluding the festivities will be the high school band, reprising their 2010-2011 field show "Heroes Fallen, Not Forgotten." A special firework show will be the finale. Band Night will also host the second annual Port Chester High School Community Expo, sponsored by the Port Chester Cares Community Coalition. Rain dates for the event will be Wednesday, June 8th or Thursday, June 9th.
