The students are sophomore Charles Simmons, trombone; juniors Isabella Roca and Brooke Pietrafesa, trumpet; John Montemurro, trombone; and senior Anthony Pellegrini, baritone saxophone. The five students performed in the 24th Westchester County School Music Association's All-County Jazz Festival on Feb. 28 at Edgemont High School.

High school musicians from Westchester County were selected for the All-County Jazz Ensemble through an audition process that took place in early January. Students attended three rehearsals in the weeks prior to their performance.

The students' school instrumental teacher is Robert Vitti.

In addition to the All-County groups, the Feb. 28 concert featured two other high school Jazz Ensembles that auditioned for the opportunity to perform. The conductors for the All-County groups were saxophonist Jay Brandford and trombonist Steve Bleifuss.
