Port Chester Sends 10 Student Musicians To All-County Band Festival

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Ten Port Chester students were chosen to participate in the annual Westchester County School Music Association’s All-County Band Festival, at Purchase College on Saturday, March 14.

The students were from King Street Elementary School, Port Chester Middle School and Port Chester High School.

Fifth-grader Bennett Segal, trombone; sixth-graders Nicolas Arnel and Sophia Reis, trumpet; and Callie Schultz, clarinet; will perform with the Elementary (Grades 4-6) All-County Band. Their school music teachers are Michael Miceli and Linda McDermott.

Seventh-grader Lindsey Co and eighth-grader Isabel Sanchez, xylophone; and eighth-graders Michael Fallanca, baritone saxophone and Darby McDermott, flute; will perform with the Intermediate (Grades 7-9) All-County Band along with ninth-grader Taylor Masi, clarinet.

Another ninth-grader, William Brakewood, trumpet, will perform with the Intermediate All-County Orchestra. Linda McDermott and Robert Vitti are their school band directors.
