Port Chester Middle to Hold School Blood Drive

Brooke Magnotta, a special education teacher at Port Chester Middle School, wants to keep her grandmother healthy-- and hopes others will feel the same way.

Renee Stanzione, 77, mother of four, grandmother of six and great-grandmother of three, has been receiving blood transfusions for five years since developing a blood disorder.

Port Chester Middle School, in honor of Stanzione, will be holding its second annual blood drive on June 16. Donors must be between 16 and 75 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors younger or older require parental or physician permission. The drive will be at the Port Chester Middle School Auditorium on 113 Bowman Ave. from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
