PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Port Chester Middle School is presenting "Haunted Halls" starting Thursday, Oct. 24.
The school's teachers and parents are putting together "a scary experience for the public" to provide fun for the Sound Shore to fill the gap after Playland's announcement that it would no longer host the traditional Halloween fright house, according to a release from the school district. The special Halloween "Haunted Halls" event is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 24 through Oct. 26, according to the release.
"There will be a haunted maze with many teacher-actors providing the scare, as well as a zombie photo shoot (with professional photographer Dawn Cortez) and outside zombie graveyard," representatives said in the release.
Tickets are $10 for the maze and $15 for the Maze/Photo-Shoot Combo and are being sold in advance at the school and at the door each night, according to the release. Ticket information can be obtained by emailing PCMSHauntedHalls@gmail.com.
The PCMS/PTA is the sponsor of Haunted Halls and the nights are set to feature professional actors and make-up artists from Pennywise Productions (an educational program of the Port Chester Council for the Arts) to assist and advise the PTA, according to the release.
Technical director Zach Dore will supervise the special effects while PCMS teacher Julie Colangelo will direct the fright night event, according to the release.
