Enrique Tovar, Rosa Taylor, Judy Diaz, Karla Purcell, Lucille Cappello, Elsy Gonzalez, Maria O'Brien, Felicia Knox, Jasmine Martinez, Katherine Hohman, and Bryant Romano were highlighted for their work within the district and at Mercy College by District WIPRO coordinator, Elsy Gonzalez.
Gonzalez presented the successes of the elementary science program, while Dr. Meghan Marrero from Mercy College presented a plaque to the Port Chester School District in recognition of the district's commitment to the WIPRO Science Education Fellowship.
"Tonight was an important celebration of a valuable program which helps to improve the quality of science instruction in our district. We recognize the program and the extraordinary teachers involved as well as the support of Mercy College, as contributing to optimal development of science education in our schools," said Joe Durney, Assistant Superintendent of Schools commented.
