Officer Phil Brings Safety Lessons To Port Chester Schools

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Officer Phil Program will present its 2015-16 in Port Chester schools beginning this week.

Child safety programs will be presented at two schools on Tuesday: at King Street School at 10:15 a.m. and at JFK Early Learning Center at 2 p.m. 

On Wednesday, the program will be presented at JFK Magnet School at 2:15. 

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, the program will be at Thomas Edison Elementary School at 1:50 p.m. 

This will be the fifth year the programs will be presented in Port Chester school. With the involvement of the Port Chester Police Department, the Officer Phil Program will focus on important safety topics, including stranger awareness, school safety and bullying. 

Officer Phil’s new pal, Buddy the Bulldog, will help teach some of the lessons.
