More Opt Outs Expected As Second Round Of Testing Starts

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- With state tests set to resume on Wednesday, the focus on student opt out rates has once gain taken center stage, according to LoHud.com.

An anti-Common Core advocacy group said184,000 students state-wide opted out of the English portion of standardized testing last week and history indicates the opt out rate for the math portion could be higher, LoHud.com reported. 

In 2014, 49,000 students opted out of the English testing while 67,000 didn't take the math portion, LoHud.com said.
