The accident occurred on Bridge Street near the High Bridge Train Station in High Bridge around 1:45 p.m., the HBPD said.

A Honda CRV was found in the southbound lane impaled by the machinery, which had fallen from a northbound White Chevy dump truck trailering a well-drilling machine as the 59-year-old driver, of Hamburg, was turning right onto Route 513N, according to police.

The CRV driver, of Washington, was extricated with help from several emergency crews, flown to a nearby hospital, and is said to be in stable condition.
