Villanova, Nardi Elected To Rye Town Council

RYE TOWN, N.Y. -- William Villanova and Thomas Nardi won uncontested races for Rye Town Council in Tuesday's election.

Deputy Supervisor William Villanova was re-elected to the Rye Town Council Tuesday. Thomas Nardi was also elected to the council. Town Clerk Hope Vespia and Town Justice John B. Colangelo were also re-elected Tuesday in uncontested elections.

Villanova, a Republican, is also a resident of Port Chester and will serve his third term as the deputy supervisor of the Town of Rye. Nardi, a Democrat, is a resident of Port Chester and has served as the Town of Rye's superintendent of highways.

Town Clerk Hope Vespia was also re-elected in an uncontested race . Vespia has served as the town clerk since 2006. Prior to that she served as the tax clerk, the deputy receiver of taxes and the receiver of taxes.

Town Justice John B. Colangelo was re-elected to a four-year term.
