WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester County Executive and gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino said that he smoked marijuana when he was in college, according to News 12 Westchester.

The topic came up while Astorino was holding a press conference on the campaign trail. A reporter had asked the county executive about his stance on marijuana legalization.

Astorino also said he would be open to legalizing marijuana if it is heavily regulated. He is opposed to legalization as it is in Colorado, News 12 Westchester reported.

"Taxpayers" feigns outrage at higher taxes (directed at the only guy to actually CUT taxes in Westchester County)... then declares he'll vote for Cuomo.
Makes a lot of sense.

Obviously it didn't do him any good!

Cuomo should legalize it and make this a moot point in upcoming elections

Me too. Big deal.

Now for the very first time after people voted for him for 4 more years as county executive, Astorino now
admits to illegal drug usage
when he was in college.
Why did'nt he tell the people
before they voted for him? If
he was'nt honest about it
then when we voted for him,
why should we believe him now when he is running for
governor of NYS?

He only admitted to the illegal drug use because he was asked the question by a reporter. I'm not sure why this would make him seem dishonest. I don't know why he would want to lie about smoking weed.

What was Mr. Astorino smoking when he appointed murphy to commissioner of taxes for westchester county?
She over taxed the people of
Somers for years.
Astorino said he would lower
taxes and cut spending but instead he takes trips to Purto Rico on the taxpayers
Astorino appoints the worst
bureauocrat who cannot be trusted and this is exactly
why westchester is the
highest taxed county in the

People just can't trust
politicians who don't keep
there word and admit being a pot user. We will vote for

At least he inhaled.

Also, him smoking pot would be the least of New York's worries. Why does anyone care about this anymore?
