PORT CHESTER, N.Y. An $800 window at Texas Chili on South Main Street in Port Chester was destroyed Saturday night by two men who were fighting inside the restaurant, police said Tuesday.
Raymond Hill, 25, of 10 Parker St., Port Chester, and Edwin Martinez-Estrada, 32, of 10 Broad St., Port Chester, both were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Lt. James N. Ladeairous said the two men were seen fighting from outside the window, and when the struggle escalated and they both crashed into the window.
No one was injured in the incident.
The following items also were reported by Port Chester police:
Armed Robbery: Early Tuesday, July 17, two men reported a robbery in front of 70 Purdy Ave. They told police a man approached them and pulled out a small black handgun, then took their cell phones and walked away. Police searched the area, but could not locate the gunman.
Shoplifting: Friday night, July 13, Stop and Shop security at 15 Waterfront Place reported that a white male wearing a dark blue T-shirt, jeans, sneakers and a Yankees cap walked out of the store with a cart full of steaks, shrimp and other food products valued at more than $600. The man fled and left the shopping cart behind. He was not found.
Medical Call: On Sunday, July 15, around 6:22 p.m. a 53-year-old woman from Cos Cob was driving her black Nissan Century on Midland Avenue during a thunderstorm. Ladeairous said the woman was fearful of water and panicked. An ambulance was called and the woman was taken to Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut.
