The arrest stemmed from the report of a past domestic incident made by a female at Police Headquarters on Wednesday, April 27, at approximately 9:37 a.m., according to officials.
An officer was assigned and conducted an investigation; the inquiry revealed that a man, identified as Leonel S. Guardado, allegedly broke a fish tank and menaced the female while at her residence on April 27, at 12:40 a.m, police report.
Guardado voluntarily appeared at Police Headquarters on Thursday, April 28, at approximately 9:49 a.m., according to officials.
He was arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor, and menacing in the third degree, a class B misdemeanor, police report.
After processing on the charges, the defendant was arraigned, served with a temporary order of protection and remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $5,000 bail, according to officials.
He is scheduled to answer the charges against him in Yorktown Court on Thursday, May 5, police report.
