Port Chester Woman Charged With Marijuana Possession In Route 35 Stop

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – A North Salem man and a Port Chester woman were arrested Saturday after a traffic stop on Route 35, according to the Yorktown Police Department.

Kevin A. Valenzuela, 26, and Candace T. Culbreath, 29, were stopped at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday for an alleged broken tail light. Further investigation revealed that Valenzuela was allegedly in possession of 2.1 ounces of marijuana, and Culbreath was allegedly in possession of 3 grams of marijuana.

Valenzuela was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fourth degree, a broken tail light and failure to notify the DMV of an address change. Culbreath was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Both were issued appearance tickets and ordered to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Aug. 13.
