Charles Pritchett, 65, of the Bronx, John Brown, 58, and Mark Mair, 58, both of Peekskill, were busted following a search of a home at 118 Old Bay St., in Peekskill, and a vehicle belonging to Pritchett, said Peekskill Police Chief Eric Johansen.

During the search, police recovered more than 200 bags of heroin and seized Pritchett’s 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe which he was using to transport the heroin from the Bronx to Peekskill where the drugs were being sold by Mair and Brown, Johansen said.

"Of note is the fact that the heroin being sold by the trio was linked to multiple overdoses in the area," the chief said.

Johansen praised those involved in the investigation and thanked the partner agencies: “Clearly the criminal element does not operate within jurisdictional boundaries and thanks to the strong relationships amongst law enforcement agencies in Westchester County; police are able to interrupt the supply of illegal narcotics into our communities”.

All three were charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy. They are being held pending their arraignment.

Mair and Brown have criminal histories dating back to 1976 while Pritchett’s goes back to 1982. Mair served seven years in prison stemming from a manslaughter conviction out of the Bronx in 1980.

The task force is made up of members from the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, the Westchester County Department of Public Safety, and the Peekskill, Croton, Mount Pleasant, Port Chester, Yonkers, and Yorktown police departments.
