GREENWICH, Conn. — Three people were arrested in connection with a large scuffle in the middle of the street that involved about 30 people in Greenwich last week, according to Greenwich Time.

Police told Greenwich Time that officers responded to reports of a large disturbance on Davis Street in the early evening hours of Wednesday, Aug. 16. The crowd of about 30 people had gathered after a dispute earlier had flared up again, according to Greenwich Time, and people in the crowd began to grow aggressive.

There was a large group of people shouting when officers arrived, according to Greenwich Time. Several cars were sent, and some people dispersed while others kept fighting, Greenwich Time reported.

Andres Rendon, 18, of Greenwich was charged with assault and breach of peace after officers saw him punch another man in the face, according to Greenwich Time.

Michael Esquivel, 28, of Greenwich was charged with interfering with an officer and breach of peace after police said he was instigating aggression and did not comply with orders to stay silent, according to Greenwich Time.

Thomas Anthony Martins, 21, of Greenwich was charged with interfering with an officer and breach of peace after police said he also did not comply with demands to stay silent, according to Greenwich Time.
