Third Westchester Teen Charged In Mall Hate Crime Case

YONKERS, N.Y. --  A third teen, Florend Gjevukaj, an 18-year-old Yonkers resident, has been charged by the Clarkstown Detective Bureau in connection with the assaults that occurred at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack on Friday, Nov. 28, police said.

Police said Gjevukaj was charged with assault/as a hate crime in the third degree (felony).

Two 17-year-olds -- Chris Bujaj of Tuckahoe and Ardijan Mehaj of Yonkers -- had previously being charged in the incident. Police say they randomly attacked Jewish customers and made anti-Semitic comments, 

Gjevukaj was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court with bail set at $25,000. He was transported to the Rockland County Jail and will return to court on Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 9:30 AM.

No further suspects beyond the three have been charged.
