WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A Port Chester woman was charged with driving drunk at twice the legal limit when she was involved in a car accident on Sunday in White Plains, state police said Tuesday.
State police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on I-287 at Exit 6 where they found that a Mazda CX7 driven by Mayra Tepan, 28, had rear ended a Jeep Cherokee.
As troopers investigated they found that Tepan was intoxicated. During processing, her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.23 percent, more than twice the legal limit, police said.
Tepan was charged with aggravated DUI and turned over to a sober third party. She is due to appear in court on Sept. 27.
