Port Chester Teen Charged In Assault With Knife

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – A 17-year-old Port Chester girl was arrested Saturday after she was accused of assaulting a 45-year-old woman with a knife in front of a child, according to police.

Police were called to the sixth floor of 45 Traverse Ave. around 12:15 a.m. on a report of a woman who had been slashed twice in the hand with a knife.  The two women knew each other, police said, and the incident stemmed from a dispute.

Guyneisha McGhee of 9 Weber Drive was charged with assault in the second degree, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to a report released by Detective Lt. Royal Monroe.
