In the alert, sent out through Nixle, New Castle Police urge people with information that can help to call the department at 914-238-6347 or the Westchester County District Attorney's office at 914-995-3000.

Schraufnagel, who was nicknamed "Schrauf," was charged late last month with one count of a third-degree criminal sex act, which is a felony; four degrees of third-degree sex abuse, which are misdemeanors; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, which are also misdemanors.

Schraufnagel, who joined the school as a teacher in 2003 and resigned this past September, is alleged to have engaged in oral sex with a then-15-year-old student. He is also accused of having a student kiss other students who were enrolled in his class, taking photos of the exchanges and posting them in a slideshow.
