Police Respond To Armed Robbery In Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Area police agencies were on the alert overnight for an armed robber who stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a male.

The robbery took place shortly before 6 p.m. at Glen Avenue and Leicester Street in the Village of Port Chester, police confirmed.

The suspect reportedly fled in a black vehicle with Connecticut license plates.

Greenwich, Conn., police also were on alert in the search for the fleeing robbery suspect.
